I've been tagged by my friend, Jill Konrath, as a blog that makes her think. Which is a huge compliment and a challenge that I must now tag 5 blogs that make me think. Here are the rules for the Thinking Blog Award.
Hmm. This takes some, well, thought! Jill's already taken David and Brian - two of my favorites - so I'll choose these:
Logic & Emotion by David Armano. What I really love about David's blog is the graphics. The linking of ideas in a visual way that gives me all kinds of new ideas. Not that he doesn't have great commentary and insights too, but the graphics let me create my own ideas from the relationships or look at something in a slightly new way. Thanks David! Oh, and by the way, the latest graphic is from Mike Press and is worth a look.
Buyer Persona blog by Adele Revella. This is one of my favorite topics and Adele steps up and demonstrates the possibilities. See her post about Chris and you'll get what I'm talking about.
Anecdote is a blog from Australia and is all about stories and learning and knowledge sharing. There's some terrific stuff on this blog. By thinking about how they work with verbal stories, it helps me think about creating engaging written marketing stories. This post about the sensemaking perspective is an example.
Confused of Calcutta is a UK blog written by JP Rangaswami and I can get lost in his posts. See Failing at the Edges of the Network to see what I mean. He writes with passion and is always engaging, no matter what he's writing about.
Here's the interesting thing about this post for me. I've been reading all of these blogs for a long time and have never "met" any of these people. I figure now's my chance!
Which blogs make you think? And, I expanded this to mean thinking in a new way or blogs that provoke new ideas I'd not have made the time for, otherwise.
