Three years ago, when as did a focus group and asked Marketers about "Revenue", we heard that marketers were scared of the word. They said "sales drives revenue, we support them".

On my recent "Revenue Rockstar Tour", however, we heard a very different story. Today's best marketers are embracing the idea of revenue and their responsibility to drive it.

So although Revenue Generation is not a trend, I think that marketers ability to embrace it is.

Hi Jon,

Thanks for stopping by! You make an excellent point. In order to create the highest contributions to revenue, marketers must understand it.

Would you say this signals a need for marketers to have business savvy in addition to marketing chops? I think so.

Thanks for sharing your insights from the latest Revenue Rockstar Tour!

I accept what buyers want and need, I offer my competitors benefit. No longer depends on the demand as the main source of information on the solution of their problems.
