Great post, Ardath!

Not only was Twitter great for tweeting the conference sessions, between that and the traffic in the lounge I hooked up with some marketing folks that live in my area who I'd never met before. We're talking a smallish city, not a major metro, so the chances of that happening were tiny, but happen it did! Now, we're meeting next week in person (a mini tweetup?) to discuss the conference and share notes. Talk about amazing synergy!

And I must agree, this was my second year attending as well and the folks at MarketingProfs outdid themselves. GREAT job.

Thanks for the post, Ardath, and the kudos. We at MarketingProfs noticed the dramatic difference between this year and last year too. Last year, for instance, the Networking Lounge was one of the least used features. This year, the traffic there was too voluminous to even try to follow. Almost like watching the live feed for all of Twitter! We'll try to make that feature more manageable next time.
Your points about the ramifications of Twitter for speakers are really interesting. Thanks for your support.
And thanks to Debra too for the kudos. And so you know, we're already talking about trying to organize some Tweet-Ups for the fall virtual conference Sept. 16.
