This level of sophisticated analysis may be rare at this point. But I think you are giving us some insight into things to come.

We need to be able to test and measure (and draw conclusions from) not only campaigns, but specific content and the behavior it drives. Indeed, we are now analyzing conversations and learning how to elevate them. Great piece!

I agree that this level of analysis is not common, at least not yet. But I'm also watching the developments in marketing automation tools and see it coming.

The trick will be learning how to measure and interact in meaningful ways when time and resources are limited - which is often the case in marketing departments.

I also think that those who achieve higher degrees of segmentation will find it easier to analyze a slice of a segment to gain relevant insights that help them refine their emarketing strategies with good results.

Rather than analyzing a slice from a general list which could lead in many directions that may not help them connect any better because of the wide variety of people in that type of list.
